Description
A custom fossiliferous lapidary study hand-shaped and polished by artisan Ben V during our active archival workshop collections. This freeform cabochon beautifully showcases a highly defined, high-contrast structural matrix, highlighting a beautifully preserved prehistoric snapshot of agatized Turritella gastropod shells locked inside a dense, dark limestone host rock sourced directly from native Texas strata.
The design philosophy isolates these detailed organic spirals to emphasize the extreme silification and marine deposit fluid pressures that originally preserved these ancient creatures over deep-time geological eras.
